Dish 1000.2 HELP

give me make/model i will try to find setup info for it.
It is hard for us to navigate you thru setup without knowledge of the stb/receiver setup screens.....

I will get all of the info you need this afternoon. Right now i am plugged into 119 port the far left hand side. Is this correct or should it be in the middle on 110

if you have a 1000.2 dish set up all you need to do is put cable into the first input go to receiver and go to the install section as long as you are getting a sig you are good you can fine tune it later just do a check switch dont pick a dish ie. 500, super just do test and go from there. lets say you get 110/119 and missimg 129 then you need to skew dish just a little. before you do all this i would reset the receiver back to factory just because you have been messing with it then do the check switch.so to recap
1. put cable into input 1
2. press menu select system setup then installation then point dish/signal strenght
3.select check switch then test
4.check installation if ok select ok then cancel.
5. if not ok repoint dish and retest

First of all it should be clarified that this is a Dish Receiver 211 and those settings are not available to change. The only way you will be able to tune this puppy in yourself is to take a little TV and the receiver up to the antenna and skew accordingly. If you have a spare FTA receiver, take that up or set up the antenna with that. Hit the center eye on 119. Looking from rear of the dish; set the right eye on 110 and the left 129. Once you do that disconnect the STB and connect your Dish 211 and you should be good to go. On your FTA STB, change the settings as described in any of the Viewsat Help comments; ie Port 1, 2 3 etc and TP's accordingly.

THANKS for all the help i was ablt to get 119 and 120 yesterday. The signal strength is not awesome but i am in a clump of tress.

good to hear a little tweeking will get you a better sig but the trees will hurt, anyway glad to hear you got 119/110 sounds like 129 is just a skew thing hard to do without a meter but sound like you have done a good job have fun and good luck
