dish 1000.2 Issue
I have a dish 1000.2 that I recently purchased and I was wondering if I had a coaxial cable coming from port 1 (119) and had it connected to my receiver, would I be able to pick up all three satellites 110,119, and 129? Based on another thread I read in this section the 1000.2 has a built in switch. So I would not need a DP44 switch right? I am only connecting the 3 satellite locations to one box. I assume I only need one coaxial line coming from lnb to the receiver. for some reason I cannot get 129 but strangely I am picking up 148? Is it possible to pick of other satellite locations other than what the lnb was designed to pick up?
Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Re: dish 1000.2 Issue
HEY MIKE you DONOT need the switch. and you will only get 119,110 129 on the dish 1000.2.
now if you are getting 119,and 110 the problem with 129 is the SKEW is not correct on the dish. try adjusting the SKEW.

Re: dish 1000.2 Issue
also if you dont have an HD receiver with 8psk module, getting 129 is not much value as its mosly HD on dn.

Re: dish 1000.2 Issue
HEY try this web site also compare them. DISHPOINTER.COM it is a thin line for a marginal error, but you are almost there I KNOW you will get it.

Re: dish 1000.2 Issue
Nice site I like that one better than the one I was using. I just entered my location and both the calculations are the same. Looks like I won't be able to do much for a while cause its raining.

Re: dish 1000.2 Issue
Read Haz's post about 129. If you have no HD capabilities just get 119 and 110 and forget 129

Re: dish 1000.2 Issue
if your picking up 148 instead of 129 then its not aimed or skewed right so try moving it around a bit. And while your aiming check tps other than 12224 because sometimes they dont all come in. (atleast not for me but it might be all the neighbors trees)
