How to install Nitro & Nitro Xmas-Basic Outline

This works for the first NItro image as well as the new Nitro Xmas image.

1.) Flash the erase image to the DB with DreamUp Universal
using a null modem cable.
2.) Flash the factory image (DM500 - 1.08.img, DM7000 -
1.09.img, DM7020 1.09.nfi) the same way (on a DM700 reboot
and then do a flash erase).
3.) Flash the NItro image the same way also (on a DM7000
reboot and then do a flash erase).
4.) Unhook the null modem cable. Hook up the DB to the TV
and the PC and boot up the DB.
5.) When the image boots setup your timezone, A/V, and then
the communications (network) settings.
6.) Use DBE to transfer a channel list over.
7.) Get your switch settings correct.
8.) Use DCC to transfer the EMU Manager and the Evocamd 1.05
EMU tarballs (to the tmp/install folder). If there are no
keys included then you will have to transfer them to the
proper folders on the DB and then Chmod them to a 755 attribute.
9.) Hit the remote's BLUE button
and go to the Addon Manager and install the two addons.10.) Change a channel on the DB first and then hit the
BLUE button again to activate
the Evocamd EMU.

You must have the network hooked up between the DB and the PC to tranfer the Addon stuff and DO NOT unplug anything until

you have installed them because the tmp/install folder flushes all info when the DB is powered down so if you tranfser that

stuff to the DB then unplug it to hook it up to the PC and the TV the files will be gone.

BTW - When ever the GREEN button
(save) is hit in the Nitro image there is about a five
second pause so be patient! Your box has not locked up!
