The sg2100 is a great motor, I have one myself, and I prefer it over any other motor I have tested,
I think sometimes people buy clones and do not know it, then if they have problems they bad mouth the sg2100 because they are unaware that they have a clone, this is why sometimes I think the sg2100 gets a bad reputation that it does not deserve,
On a side note, if your getting into the true fta I would really recommend at least a 36 inch dish, the linear birds are a lot weaker and the Q will be very low on most of them with a 30 inch dish,
I think you will be much happier with a 36 incher
