Let me get this straight. I'm assuming you are looking to upgrade a STB, and want the latest software? You should be able download and open files with your Mac, and then be able to drag and drop them to your thumb-drive, USB memory stick, or what ever you prefer to call it, that you can plug in to the usb port on your Mac. If your usb thumb drive is usb2 and if your STB supports usb2 then it should be no problem to upgrade the programing on your STB.

Use the search feature and enter the brand of your STB. That should lead you to what you are looking for.

The upper left corner of this page has a list of the brands of STBs. If you click on it, and then click on your brand that should lead you to what you are looking for quicker.
