I don't think that the 4500 does tune DVB only digi-chipper signal.

Now I have worked with DSR 4000, 4006, an 4200, an their is 3 models of each all depending on their SR that is set in them. the V model (V will be after the model of all 3 on the back of the receiver on its tag) which does most of the SR out their to this day.

now on you frequency, that you are entering, it is TP (transponder) NOT DOWN LINK, I use a 4006 here an it a nice unite all manual, but I can receive channels that a non production digi-chipper receiver will get. now on to c-band is a 20mhz split with you're lowest TP (or channel you may call like channel 1) is 1430.0, then the next TP will be 1410.0 an so on with a 20mhz shift, now you do know you're out put frequency of you're lnb is 950 to 1450 mhz, so you are tuning a TP, not down link frequency. an you're highest TP will be the lowest in frequency 970.0.

Option 6-7-7-8 then I like to select manual tune an set it all up from their on out.

Now on the Ku-band you're TP tunning is just the reverse of c-band, you're low TP will be you're low frequency of LNB ossalator TP 1 is 970.0, an TP 2 is 990.0, the same 20mhz shift but just backwards from c-band, also make shure you have a check mark in the Ku window.

now on another note cctvp, this DSR line is a little bugee if you have been trying to do some tuning an keep on seeing "Can Not Find Channel" you may want to to a master reset an then start putting the TP data back in it that receiver, I have to reset mine here from time to time. these receiver where ment to be on 1 channel only for commercial purpose, not to be used as a feed hunter would use it for, but they work very well for it as long as you understand the workings of 1.

You just went way over my head! lol I tried just flipping through the frequencies with no luck. We have three dishes and one dish is on each channel that we want, so I know that I am pointed at something and I can find watch it off of one of our mpeg recievers. We were wanting to use the Motorola DSR-4500X to just lock in on one station to free up one of our mpeg recievers. I think that the 4500x might just do digi-chipper but I could be wrong. I am very new to this. The only thing I have done is setup to dishes with mpeg recievers to pick up the two chennels. Nothing this advanced. Is there anyway to know what tp and frequencey to type in to get either one of these channels? (Thank You For Your Help)
