Ok. Very simple. Connect your cable input wire directly to the receiver Antenna Connction. External Antenna Connection that is.

So you have the satellite cable going to the Satellite input and the Cable connection to the External Antenna Connection.

Now, when you need to watch cable all you need to do is switch off the receiver with your remote and you will be watching cable service and you will change the channels with your TV remote.

Cable to splitter and one to the modem and one to the Receiver will work fine.
