Enjoying Dish...

Thank you everyone for all your help!

We were able to receive data on our dish 500 with twin LNBF's and a Pansat 3500 receiver. Because the twin LNBF's have an internal switch we had all kinds of trouble receiving the horizontal frequencies. It has to do with the way the data is handled with the twin LNBF's.

Although you all are against blind scans, performing a blind scan (also known as a smart scan) provided us with the best results, because the blind scan searched for the lower frequencies on a given satellite. Doing the math calculation of taking the original frequence and subtracting it from 25600 and changing the polarity from Horzontal to Vertical was not as accurate enough to pickup all the channels.

I also found that when we compared the factory setting's TP list to the LANSAT list the factory setting list had errors in it...they skipped two TP frequencies...Opps typo on their part.

It has been an interesting process, but thanks to your help and our research we can now enjoy dish TV!!!
