Re: Nimiq 1

From what you have indicated you should have the following as your Antenna Settings for 91W.

Satellite: 91W Nimiq 1,3.
LNB power: on
LNB type: single or Standard
LNB frequency: 11250
TP : 12224
22khz.: off
Diseqc : off
Motor: disable
Legacy switch: off.

When you use that Sat finder, if it picks up ANY Satellite it will squeel like a Weasel...LOL.
Take it off and check your TV to watch the Q line come up and go green.
The trick is to wroughly set your Azimuth (Magnetic) to where it should be, your Elevation to what is recommended for your location (according to Dishpointer).
Then slowly move the dish left or right till you see the Q reading and then move till you get it to maximum. Lock the bolts. Now adjust the elevation slowly up or down to increase and maximize the Q reading. Now you should see a confirmation flag of 91W on the right side of the screen.
You are now done.
