Re: I'm in Motor Hell!!!
using ports 3 and 4 on the switch should be fine, but if your having trouble i would eliminate all switches......
first of all are you sure the motor is working? is it moving when you drive it to a satellite using USALS???.....
if so then do a reset on the motor and make sure the lights flash properly and go back on after the reset.....
do a factory default on your receiver.....
set the motors latitude scale to YOUR LATITUDE......this adjustment should NEVER be changed......
disconnect the output from the motor.....only connect the cable from the receiver to the motor.....
pick your closest circular satellite to you and go into the dish settings for it.....enter in all the proper info.....LNB standard/single....LNB freq 11250.....diseqc NONE cause we are going to eliminate that for now.....
now go into the motor options and select USUALS.....enter in your lat and long.....go to dispointer.com to get your exact Lat and long.....make sure your lat is set to N and not S.....and long is set to W and not E.....
now tell the motor to drive to that satellite.....
go outside and check the motor shaft position and see that it has moved slightly from its 0 position.....unless your circular satellite you are using is directly south then it will still be on 0......
now turn off your receiver with the back switch.....disconnect the cable going to the motor and plug that same cable into the LNB port "C".....
turn your receiver back on and go into the dish settings for the same satellite you selected before.....verify all settings are the same......
now its time to go outside and aim.....when making your horizontal adjustments you move the entire motor/dish assembly on the pole.....when adjusting vertically you move the dish only, NOT the motor.....
peak in the signal for the selected satellite and you should be set.....after everything is tightened down you can verify you are on the arc by testing out a satellite at each end of the arc.....61.5W is a good one for the east and 129W is a good one for the west(depending on your location).....if you get good Q on all of these you are set......
now you can turn your receiver off and install your switch and wiring properly.....
