Re: help with dish

j rudy - Since you are looking for only Nimiq 91, no skew is required.

Follow these instructions.

1. Make sure you Pole is Totally Vertical (Use a spirit level to make sure it is dead straight on all sides.)
2. Set the elevation to what is recommended by Dishponter.
3. Using a compass set the magnetic Azimuth to the approximate position.
4. Now in the Receiver go into Antenna Settings and set it the the following.

satellite Nimiq 1,3 91W
LNB power: on
LNB type: single
LNB frequency: 11250
TP : 12224
22khz.: off
search options: all
network search: on
Diseqc : off
motor: disable
Legacy switch: Off

5. Now if you look at the Signal and Quality, keep adjusting the dish moving slowly to the left or right and watch for quality. When they turn green. Stop. Now slowly move to maximize the Q signal. Lock the bolts at the back.
6. Now adjust the elevation till you get the best Q reading. Anything over 65% is fine.Youwill now see 91.0W locked .

Now go down to serch for all channels and it will do a search. You should get approx. 428 channels.
