Im sure you have a digital tv since most ppl do since they have a converter box..
Connect you VGA cable from your laptop to your tv....
Check your INPUT's on your tv...The one you are looking for is typically labeled (PC, VGA, or maybe computer..its different for each tv...)
Then on your lab top it to change configuration type in Fn + F8....you will somethime have to press it more than once since there can be multiple settings and wait a minute for the devices to configure...Sometimes it will configure for you and and pressing Fn + F8 wont be needed
