bill of oz - When I setup my dish with the SG2100 motor, I had to skew the LNB for the True FTA satellites but that did not affect the circular sats.
Your instructions for 123 is correct but after he gets the 123 set in the receiver, if he skews the LNB he will increase the Q reading. So the thing to do is as you have mentioned, adjust the motor with the dish on the Azimuth and then the dish only for the elevation and maximize on the LNB skew. Lock everything and then he can locate the other sats and save.
I do not want to jump into this , but thought I will say what I had to do to maximize the Q.
