With some functions of my new SV8000HD receiver working,(blasted HD still will not) I thought it was time to check out the PVR function. Well, here we go again, another problem. If I plug in a simple jump drive, thumb drive, call it what you want, it shows it would record programs to it. But when an 80GB hard drive in a case is attached, the receiver states there is nothing to record to. From what I have read, that is what you are to use for recording TV programs off the unit. Not very useful function if all you can use is a thumb drive! Do you SV pros have an idea?
