Trying to get BEV on my Nova. I did NOT move the dish, I just went to Antenna setup, went to 91.0w Nimiq1 KU. I get a 72 signal strength and 91 Quality. I went to scan channels and it didn't add anything. Do I need to move the dish if I'm getting good S&Q? Or did I miss something? I did not reset the nova. Still have 110 and 119 programmed in it.

Sat is 91w nimiq1 ku
quad DPLNBF

You have to move your dish and point it at 91w in order to get that sat.

You're getting S&Q but for a different sat.

You'll also know that you are hitting 91w when you see the banner pop-up in your Antenna Settings.

But for that to happen, you have to physically move the dish so it is pointed at the sat you wish to receive.

There are plenty of "How To's" on this web site as well as on the internet.

You can start at dishpointer dot com

And you might want to mark the current position and elevation of your dish with a Sharpie in case you want to move it back to its current position someday.

But for now, you need to point it at 91w and once you are locked on to that sat, do a scan.

Don't worry about 82w - you won't get it without an HD receiver or if you don't live in or near Canada.

But you're not going to get any 91w channels until you move your dish and lock onto that sat.

See the photo, and the "91W NIMIQ 1" banner/text that verifies that you are locked on to 91w as displayed below:
