The first thing you see when the STB is turned on is the "Language" selection which is straight forward and self-explanatory. Thereafter, this selection will appear anytime a Factory Default is selected. Then the "Channel Information Bar" appears at which time you select "menu" key on the rcu and the Main Menu comes on the TV screen.
Main Menu
Select Installation -> Dish Settings -> Press OK.
1. Select Tuner I.D. and choose one of the two Tuners, A or B using the Vol up/down keys on the rcu.
2. Select Satellite and choose the Sat you want to search pressing the Vol up/down keys. Press the OK button to see the preset Sat List. Note the Function Keys at the bottom of this display.
3. Select Connection and choose Loop Through (means: same Sat for Tuner 1 and 2 with loop through) or Separate (means: different Sat for each Tuner).
4. Select LNB type/Frequency and choose your LNB freq. or enter direct by using the numerical pad on the rcu.
5. Select 22KHz: Off
6. Select LNB power: On
7. Select Transponder (TP) and choose the Freq. you want to search using the Vol up/down keys or press OK to see preset TP list. Note Function Keys.
8. Select Search Option and choose one of three choices: All (Normal selection = fta + Scrambled Channels); fta (fta Channels); or cas (Scrambled Channels)
9. Select Network Search On
10. Select Diseqc Switch and choose Off or Mini-A, Mini-B, Port 1, 2, 3, or 4
11. Select Motor and choose one of three choices: Disable (Select this if no motor is used); motor (move the Dish); usals (set up system with usals).
12. Select Channel Scan Start and choose one of four Modes using the color Function Keys: Red (start sat scan); Green (start TP scan); Yellow (start multi-sat scan); or Blue (start blind scan). Before channel scan start, you can check signal strength and quality with the meter display on the screen.
13. Select Channel Scanning this menu appears after Channel Start is selected and you can see the six parameters of the scanning process.
After Channel Scanning is completed, " Do you want to save?" pop-up appears...select Yes to save. Then Press Exit Key on the rcu and you will move to the first TV channel. You have now completed the Set Up of your new Receiver and should be watching TV...Congratulations.
