Hey sneakey & rizz: If you end up with duplicate channels...it's because you failed to remove the olds one prior to rescan.
Be sure to do the Auto Scan to get the channels in groups with numbers.
The best thing to do, is just start over & do a
factory database reset.
This will bring back any moved / dead channels.(if able)
