The SKY is not Falling ... I repeat, The SKY is not Falling!
Progress is already being made to deliver product, iHub enabled units have some PPV and Happy Channels open.
Tour the Forum, do some reading and learn about what is available and how it is that it is available.

Sorry Bimo,
But it is not the end of Free Satellite Signals. However, it May be the end of stealing diknetwork programing.
As for Iks, I would consider it more like file sharing. Lol, someone, somewhere is paying, right?

Re: is it the end of the line on free satellite signals?
Unless you were around during N1, N2 early days, you would not realize that it takes some time for coders to understand the new programing and come up with a suitable bin to get back all the channels.
Bev has been down now at least 5 to 6 months or more and Dish just went down.
A cardless fix will take time to do.
However, as indicated by CG, should you read some stuff available here in this forum with regards to other available alternatives.
For example SV units working fine with the iHUB, NFusion units working on Bev,
also I am told that XBox units are also working with a network connection.
So the above proves that something is and can be done.
So my advise to all who are missing their TV. DO NOT JUMP OFF THE DEEP END.
Be patient and all will be well.
For the moment hook up your Rabbit ears and watch TV........LOL.

Hey, I have read a bunch, but seems not enough. I have a few dumb questions....i have viewsat extreme....but ihub is only for sonicview machines right? That would mean we would need to purchase a sonicview receiver and ihub? We have dsl service to our house already. Is there a way to hook up the dsl to receiver and use our viewsat?
Sorry I am really confused....can you help me. I keep reading and seem to get more confused.
Also we have a satelite with a motor but wasn't able to get the different satelites and all their stations to down load when we set it up. Is it ok to try to re-tune and try to redown load so that we might get something on the viewsat?

Re: is it the end of the line on free satellite signals?
Hi there,
Sorry, you cannot connect the Viewsat to the internet, since they do not have that service.
However, since you have a Motorized dish, you can tune into True FTA Satellites like 123W and 97W - just two of a bunch of Satellites available for Free TV.
All you need is the Factory file loaded on to the receiver.
But here are the other requirements.
You will need a Dish at least 30". But better would be 39" and a Linear LNB.
I would recommend an Invacom LNB which is both Circular and Linear.
That way when the N3 bins do arrive then you can tune into 119, 110, 129, 61,5, 91 82 etc all circular sats and still continue to watch the TRUE FTA Sats like 123 and 97 and other as well.
Dishpointer.com will help you to find the locations for those sats.
Good luck.
