9200, I can't get the 8psk to work. Begging for help.
First of all, thank you in advance for your help; I can’t explain how frustrated I am with this Pansat 9200 and 8PSK board. I got this receiver and 8psk Tuesday, still no TV.
Heres what happened. First thing I did, I installed the 8psk in the 9200 according the to the 8psk Install Guide, then I hooked it up to my dish (1000.2, which is 110,119,129, I have excellent quality on all birds). Then I put the latest Bin on the 9200 and scanned each bird. All I get is “wait for picture”. I waited for hours, got up to 40,000%. Well, I got so frustrated and I uninstalled the 8PSK board, plugged it all back up, and I had TV in less than 5 minutes. Works just like my Pansat 3500. All channels work, everything is up! Now I am real frustrated, so reinstall the 8psk, thinking I might have made a error. So now the 8psk is back in the unit, I rehook it up, turn it on, picture comes on in slow motion, and the receiver freezes up, it won’t turn off, the remote wont control it, Its frozen, I unplug and flip the on/off switch, it freezes up again, it won’t even let me get into the menu. So I uninstall the 8psk board, I get TV again, all channels work again, just like the pansat 3500. How do I get this 8psk and 9200 to work together? Is there something I need to in a menu once I have 8psk installed?
Has this happened to anyone else? Please help. I am so frustrated. I can’t find anyone that has the 9200 with 8psk board. This receiver is making me lose sleep and I’m not joking. I appreciate any advice… Thank you so much!

if you are confident that you installed it correctly it sounds like you have a bad board.

OK buddy. i know the feeling you are having i also went through this. i installed my 8psk board and i had very similar problems. i installed my 8psk board and when my channels came up they would freeze my remote would not respond. it was dirving me crazy!!!! my 8psk was defective, now i have a new one and when i first set it up i had almost the same problem with the new one. and what i did was i installed the latest factory file from pansat usa Website. an then i installed the latest bin and it worked. now i still get slow remote response and channel changing response on the hi def channels but i am not sure if it is the latest bin. good luck with this, i feel your pain and i am sorry you are going through this because i know the feelling buddy. let me know what happens. and if you could maybe post you sat settings maybe one of the techs here could help you. also remember to do a factory default.

To improve performance....
Erase all non HD transponders(20000) from the sats that you already scanned.
This wont erase your channels but will free up memory for your reciever.
To erase the transponders that have 20000, Go to
Menu, Satellite installation, Edit satellite, tp edit.

I'd do a factory bin then reflash it with the latest bin and sat scan.
