A Quick Guide for using Channel Master with Sonicview

Basic intro guide for using ChannelMaster with Sonicview.

Part 1 -
ChannelMaster is a universal channel editor that can be used for almost all FTA receivers, but this short intro guide will just be for using with SV1000 & SV4000.

Lets start the simple way by scanning the sats with sonicview's built in satinfo and uploading scan to ChannelMaster.

Upload scan to ChannelMaster - SV 1000

Connect SV to computer with NM serial cable
Turn on SV1000 & open channelMaster
Click Tools>Read from STB>select Sonicview in box type dropdown list then click next>set com port & Read as New Channel Master Project then click next 2 times.
Thats it channel list is now uploaded to Channel Master.

Upload scan to ChannelMaster - SV4000

Insert USB stick in SV4000
Menu>instalation>transfer data to usb>Channel press OK.
Insert USb stick in computer
Open Channel Master
Click File>import>Select Sonicview Format>navigate to removable disk>click dxchannel_4000 then open.
Thats it channel list now in ChannelMaster.

Editing sat list

On the left hand side you have Favorites & list of satelites
First click file> Save As> on desktop
Delete all unwanted sats - R click/delete (Note: save after every 5-10 Sat deletes in case ChannelMaster crashes) saved list will be on desktop as a channelmaster project - dbl clicking it opens in ChannelMaster

Deleting & locking channels

Higlight a satelite on left and main window will show channels.
R click any channel or group of highlit channels(ctrl click or shft click) and you can Delete Lock or send to Fav
Favorite lists can be renamed - click + beside Favorite (left hand side) Dbl click FAV 1 and rename it to to your choice.

Write edited list to STB for SV1000.

Connect SV1000 to computer & power on
Click Tools>Write to STB>select sonicview>next>com port next>SV1000 - next - next

Export to USB stick for SV4000

Insert USB stick in computer
Click File>Export - sonicview format>Export window comes up>click button on right of File box - navigate to Removable drive> give it a name then click save>then check SV4000 - OK
Done - edited list now on USB stick ready to load on SV4000.

save edited list (File - save) before closing down ChannelMaster so you can always use it again as a channelmaster project
