IKS Serial for new Receivers

1- I suggest buying from the sponsors. They are better at dealing with than a random seller on ebay.

2- The location of the serial number should be in one of 2 places. The bottom of the receiver or on the top flap of the packaging box.

there are 2 sets of number on ipros 1 is the 13 digit the other is the 23 digit.

the 23 digit number is used for IKS (currently sky mexico is using iks) in future if dish or bev go on IKS mode than users must have this 23 digit serial number.

insure u don't mistake:

1 and I or L

or 0 and O

or B and 8

what to do if you get a message your iks serial number is already in use?

it is unique. Don't worry about that message... happens from time to time just click disc/rec and itll be fine.

if you see xxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx then your serial is not entered yet you will need to put in the 23 digit number that was supposed to come with your box if it is not on the top flap or bottom of the manufacturer package then look on the bottom of the receiver if the only number you have is a YAD number then you will need to call the dealer where you purchased the unit and request it.
