neosat ipro 2000/pro installation wizard-advanced scanning instructions with pics

NEOsat pro/ipro installation wizard with pics

this is to help you the first time to setup your new NEOsat ipro 2000/pro once you have loaded your first file.
this unit has a very easy installation setup.simply follow along the basic steps.

0.)Installation Wizard Welcome.

press yellow button for next.

1.)Stage 1 language setup.

simply select your OSD language (system menu language)
and your primary audio language.
then press the yellow button for next.

2.)Stage 2 Location setup.

simply set your country/state/city/time zone/and set summer time on or off.
tip: when selecting time zone, look on the bottom of the screen for time zone info.then press the yellow button for next.

3.)Stage 3 S/N setup.

find your serial number located on the box your stb came with or on the bottom of your adapter for the pro model and enter it here or skip and do it latter.

4.)Antenna Auto Setup

your neosat can scan your hardware for you if it is compatible.
for example the basic dish 500 with dp twin along with other dn equipment.

option 1.press ok to start auto setup.this will scan your hardware lnbs/switch and enter your correct settings for you.

option 2.press the yellow button to skip auto setup and go directly to the antenna setup screen to setup manually.

5.)Antenna setup

make sure your auto detect setup everything correctly.
look to see the satellite at the top left.thats the one you are setting up,matches the satellite name on the right.thats tells you where your truly pointed and setup for.if needed make the correct adjustments so they match.
if doing all this manually, you know what to do.

6.)Scan

with the neosat, the suggested method of scanning is Network search.this insures all your channels scan in, including locals.
simply scroll down to the bottom on search type and press right button until network search start is selected.
make sure your signal and quality are good,
press ok button to start scan.
the first few seconds do not appear to be doing anything, this is normal, its gathering info it needs.total time to scan a satellite will be around 45-55 seconds.
repeat for all satellites your setup for.
a common mistake done by the novice, is to scan satellites they do not have hardware for.do not do this or you will get duplicates, and have to start over.

at anytime during the wizard you can go back by pressing the green button(previous).
all of this can be done manually latter also.
next you will want to setup your user settings.
follow this menu/features guide for all options:
http://www.abadss.com/forum/801-neos...res-guide.html

thats it,this stb really is that easy to setup.your now ready to watch tv.
enjoy your neosat ipro 2000/pro pvr iks system.

detailed scanning guide

detailed scanning guide

now that your wizard scanned your hardware,or you asked for help in the forums for your particular settings.you need to scan the satellites your setup and pointed at to create your channel list.this is simple as well.

first, its important to know what satellites your pointed at.you should figure this out when asking for help as well.for example the most common are dn's
echo7=119w echo 8.10=110w also common are bevs nimiq1=91w and nimiq2=82w.do not scan anything your not pointed at.be sure to ask for help if your not sure.

now with basics of scanning covered.this is where your wizard left off.

note the "antenna setup" column on the left hand side.this is where you wizard and or you make adjustments needed to match your hardware.(dish/switch/lnb)also note the name at the top of the list is the bird your setting up.press left/right here to change them, setting up each one your pointed at.you will also notice on the right hand side it will read searching...... when changing birds.when its complete in just a few seconds it will read "unlocked" or it will read the name of the bird the settings are setup for.always insure the two top names match of course before scanning.
you wouldn't want to setup echo7 in the antenna setup on the left and have it read "echo 8.10" on the right for example.

this example is correct.the satellite being setup is echo 7.the satellite recognized in these settings is also echo7.this bird is now ready for scanning.
continue this for all the birds your setup for.

scroll up onto the bird your setting up on the left in "antenna setup"
here press left/right to scroll to your next bird to setup.or a quicker way is press ok the current bird that is completed.this will bring up the selected list on the right hand side, that can be quickly scrolled up/down through.once you find your next bird in the list, press ok on it to select it.this will bring it up in the "antenna setup" screen on the left for you to make the adjustments.again once complete you will then see its name match in the right side column and that bird will be ready to scan.

the neosat ipro/pro 2k are advanced hardware units.scanning time for a bird is generally under a minute.once complete.it will list amount of tv/radio channels scanned.press save to complete.

(the settings in the pics do not reflect on how your settings will be.keep what your wizard scanned,or what you received help with in the forums.everyones hardware/settings may/will vary)

how to perform a multi sat scan

how to perform a multi sat scan

you can perform a multi sat scan as well with your ipro.
now that your settings are complete you may wish to perform multi sat scans as apposed to scanning one at a time.particularly useful for those with multiple dishes/lnbs to save even more time.this will scan your birds all in one step.

scroll down the bottom in antenna setup, then scroll left/right until multi sat scan is highlighted.

press ok.then select the birds you wish to have scanned all in one step.then select search start to begin.

once complete,it will display the number of channels saved for tv/radio as normal.and multi sat scan is complete.
