Well I am getting in 199 the chiller station on 110 - tales of the crypt and all those kind of things which I actually enjoy - unfortunately they seem to not have a lot of programing material as they seem to run 3 or 4 programs and then repeat the same ones over again.
Have to make a quick trip to Ensenada in the morning but if when I get back there are no other fixes for my ipro then I will probably take your advice and give the dish I use for 110/119 a slight 6 or 7 degree tweek (clockwise I believe) and see what I can get from the 123w bird.
Although grasshopper has posted in another forum that a fix for the CS4-5-6
should arrive soon - thing is although he feels theinfo is reliable - soon is not at all specific terminology - could be an hour from now, a day, a week it can mean whatever they want it to mean - if by some strange happenstance CS manages to release files for these boxes and they are up while Neosat is still down - V2 really really needs to contemplate his PRIORITIES -
From my understanding V2 is one of the best coders out there - perhaps because of the new hybrid IKS he is working on he felt a short temp fix for cardless that may be of no value once he upgrades the iks system (with hopefully a cardless fix at the same time) wasn't worth the time -
However if the coders for most of the other brands solved the puzzle within hours or a day or two of the last ecm - how much time could it take for V2 to come up with a quick and even temp fix for cardless?? That lack of consideration for so many new customers of the neosat product who have for the most part been very enthusiastic with their recent purchases just reminds me too much of Coolsats rather cavalier attitude toward their customer base.
BY NECESSITY THE CODERS REMAIN A RATHER CLANDESTINE GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS REGARDLESS OF WHICH BRAND THEY MAY BE PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR AND COMMUNICATE LITTLE TO US COMMONERS aka CUSTOMERS - I JUST HOPE THAT THE QUEEZY UNEASY FEELING THAT I'M GETTING ABOUT THE NEOSAT CODING TEAM IS UNWARRANTED - I THINK THAT THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS WILL TELL THE STORY
To the manufacturers, distributors and coders I would say that I hope you realize that you don't make the company successful and profitable - YOU PROVIDE IT WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR THAT SUCCESS - IT IS US THE CONSUMER - YOUR CUSTOMERS AND POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS WHO WILL ULTIMATELY DECIDE WHETHER YOUR BOTTOM LINE IS IN THE BLACK OR THE RED

Re: ipro 2000 Any Word???
123W is an excellent bird to have as backup, great programming and never goes down.
How big is your 119/110 dish, you know you need a 30+ inch maybe 36inch and a linear LNB for this bird right?

Arb it was not my intention to "kick the poor guys when their down". I most definitely want the neosat brand to enjoy a long and prosperous run in this competitive market. I have stated in more then one post that I had much faith in the capabilities of the V2 support team to ultimately provide us with both an IKS and cardless solution for their stb's that will be second to none.
It wasn't my intent to kick them but having been in business for a good part of my life - I was attempting to pass on certain realities to them. Neosat has a rather new customer base - and with so many ecm's recently much of their new base has been build because of not only the superior specs of the box but mainly because of the combination IKS and Cardless technology. We know who their main competitor is - the same people that left them hanging not that long ago!!
Thing is consumers are only brand loyal to a degree - doesn't take too much for them to say heck with that when it comes to laying out their bucks for a purchase - this is just truly bad timing for this situation to happen for Neosat - New Boxes - with increased sales - with lots of new customers and MANY at this moment undecided as to which of these stb's to go for -
It wasn't my intention to sound like a grumbling whiner or "kick them" it was in reality my intention to remind them of the business realities which were included in my post and regardless of how you or I or even a few die hard loyalists may feel the facts stated in my recent posts are germain truthful and should be given much consideration - thats my opinion and at one time I was CEO and basically sole owner of a corporation employing over 135 people in two different countries that developed our own products with a remarkable R&D team - manufactured them in two company owned plants and sold those products worldwide thoough independent marketing reps looked over by an inhouse sales team of talented excecutives.
Again in IMHO if NEOSATUSA were my company - I would drop eveything to make sure that my customers had a NOW solution and attempt to "leak" enough info through the various FTA forums so that those that are still undecided remain so in anticipation of what is in the works and soon to be delivered to the owners of neosat products.
To finalize I'll just say KEEP ON TRUCKEN V2 - YOUR PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST CODERS OUT THERE AND YOU PROBABLY KNOW IT !!
LET'S FACE IT THE CODERS FOR THESE BOXES HAVE ENTROARDINARY PROGRAMMING TALENT AS THEY ARE GOING AGAINST AN ARMY OF PROGRAMERS THAT CHARLIE AND BEV HAVE WORKING ON THEIR SIDE AND WITH CHARLIE TURNING A PROFIT OF SOME 3/4 OF A BILLION DOLLARS as in $ 750,000,000.00 LAST YEAR HE CAN AFFORD TO HIRE SOME VERY TALENTED PEOPLE MANY OF THEM AS A MATTER OF FACT AND SO CAN BEV!!
One other reality that many in these forums aren't aware of is that the various coding teams of these boxes are one way or another WELL COMPENSATED FOR THEIR EFFORTS - OF COURSE THEY ARE NOT EMPLOYEES OF THE COMPANIES THAT THEY SUPPORT - THOSE COMPANIES CAN HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE CODERS AND NO DOUBT THEY GO TO GREAT LENGTH TO KEEP THEM AT LEGAL ARMS LENGHT - THAT IS IF THEY WISH TO REMAIN IN BUSINESS AND NOT DO TIME IN A FEDERAL PRISON! THESE CODERS ARE TRULY TALENTED PROGRAMERS - AND WHILE ALL OF US ARE GRATEFUL THAT THEY KEEP OUR HOBBY UP AND RUNNING MOST OF THE TIME - THEY DO HAVE A FINANCIAL INTEREST IN DOING JUST THAT! THESE TEAMS ARE NOT JUST SOME COLLEGE OR EVEN NOW DAYS HIGH SCHOOL HACKERS WHO CRACK A COMMERCIAL PROGRAM JUST FOR THE THRILL OF DOING SO.

Thanks for the reminder vtoskov! You probably saved me a few hours of frustration as I could see myself determined to try and tune in 123w with my 18" dish that i use for 119/110.
Fortunately I was given recently a SKYMEX dish that is if I remember correctly close to 39" and it is completely intact with the exception of an LNB which I can get from a neighbor - another gringo living down here in BAJA enjoying as I am a reasonable cost of living and the warmth, kindness and hospitality of the friendly Mexican people who live in this small town.

Re: ipro 2000 Any Word???
EHG,
"Thing is consumers are only brand loyal to a degree - doesn't take too much for them to say heck with that when it comes to laying out their bucks for a purchase - t"
I couldn't agree with you more on this. As a consumer, we all want the maximize our dollars. We want the best product for less. Personally speaking, I rank product loyalty right behind reliability and innovation. If I have to take a product in for service, in this case, wait 2 plus weeks for a fix, then I'm willing to forgo some features and settle for an stb with less features, but reliable.
I'm not bashing Neosat here. I appreciate all their efforts in putting out new fixes. But how long is one willing to wait for a fix..2 weeks, 1 month? It is hard to keep everyone satisfy, but the consumers paid for these products and have the rights to voice their concerns. The consumers are the boss, not the company's CEO. Sorry no offend EHG. Thank goodness for capitalism.

couldnt agree more- what a fantastic box with genius coders, this downtime is bad business. 10 out of 10 fta testers would rather have iks pushed back a day to have a temp bin out and tv for a week!

Re: ipro 2000 Any Word???
Saludes y gracias.

Re: ipro 2000 Any Word???
OK here's the real question that no one seems to want to ask or answer: Of the bucks we paid for this FTA receiver are the coders etc seeing any of it? Are they being paid by the manufacturers? Surely we will be told no, but I wonder what the truth is. If they are then we should be getting better service. If not, we are fools to spend our money on this and expect anything from them.
I'm frustrated but still remain hopeful... sigh...

Re: ipro 2000 Any Word???
all we know is that fta units are made and sold to pick up "fta" FREE TO AIR "open" NOT encrypted signals.there are a bunch of them up there in the sky.and even on dn and bev there are a few.all perfectly legal to aim a dish at and receive.
no one should EVER buy an fta unit for any other purpose.if you find some gravy to go with it once in awhile that your biz lol
as for 3rd party support your all used too.there is no word to pass on right now.nothing is/has been said.just have to wait it out.

it don't matter going back to cable so I don't have to depend on the coders and their way of thinking of working on iks while we are blacked out and all we need is a bin file.
