CS 8100hd file, thanks - ABA DSS

I was wondering about the new files, I have noticed that the last few days the only new files from NORW has been the CS 8000 and 8100hd files, which I do appreciate, but, why hasn't there been other new files for other units? It just seems strange to think that NORW would produce the new files for only these two units... doesn't it?

Last morning there were files out for 8000 and 8100. But unfortunately they were defective and needed to be repaired. I believe the new files are the replacements.
Files for the other receivers will be arriving shortly.

Ok, here is an update, I loaded the new files, It took about 2 minutes to roll... and I"m watching PPV so far so good.. I'll update it if I see it freeze, but for now, great Job, hopefully other files show up today! Good Job folks

Ok, 12 minutes in and we just got a freeze (scrambled channel), it's come back fairly quickly and is running again, I"ll keep my eye on it and report

ok, so, we will keep an eye on it and let folks know what I find, I am watching a PPV at the moment and hopefully this will stick for a while. Keeping my fingers crossed!

It appears they recalled both bins for CS8000 & CS8100.
To answer your question, they alway support the upper end units first...(HD) then they work on the other units. (in groups HD / PVR / 4/5/6k)
So when they found problems with the HD units...they stopped work on the others.
This tells us that we won't see bins for other units until you see the HD patch released first.

Ok, what ever you say, I will say though, the second file seemed a little better than the second, but still freezes (on 8100hd the screen goes black with scrambled channel on it), hopefully they keep working and get it soon.. I do appreciate all their work though!
