OTA HD Local Stations
Since I have not heard back from CS I figured I'd ask this question again and perhaps by rephrasing the question someone can help.
I am using my cs8100hd for Off The Air Local HD stations, I can record my favorite shows in HD and play them back from the HD but I am missing Channel 4. On my other TVsets and Digital to Analog converters I am getting about 90% signal which is great and the other box's are working but I can not seem to get the 8100hd to see channel 4 when I am scanning.
So, my question is to you 8100hd users, are any of you using it for OTA shows and are you able to lock in on channel 4 OTA digital siganals? If So, what is the frequencies you are picking up? I don't understand why I am not gettting channel 4 I have lots of signal and using the same antenna and cooax I get the channel with my TV's and Converter boxes.
I have sent 3 emails to Coolsat report and I have received nothing back from them (which is not good at all).
Can anyone check their 8100hd and let me know I'd appreciate it.

Re: OTA HD Local Stations
The CS receiver can't pick up signals from an outdoor antenna, it only passes the signal along. It doesn't have a tuner capable of working with OTA signals.

Re: OTA HD Local Stations
Bob, the CS8100HD has an ASC HD OTA receiver built in to it, I get all the other HD OTA channels just fine, it's just that channel 4 OTA local is not locking in. I know it is not a signal problem as I have lots of signal .. it's something else. I was wondering if anyone else with the CS 8100hd is using it for OTA and if they can lock in to Channel 4 local stations. My brother has an CS8000hd and he is able to get it.
I have sent CS a email but yet to have a reply.

Re: OTA HD Local Stations
Have you tried the US office? I think the Canadian office might be closed down.

Re: OTA HD Local Stations
Hi Bob.. The use of the ATSC receiver and being able to record to the HDD is a real feature for me, true HD, much better than any cable HD offerings around and it's free. I just can't get channel 4 no matter what I do.
I have been emailing the USA office (I live in the USA) and I get no response from anyone, so that is not a good sign.

Re: OTA HD Local Stations
Freetech is battling things out in court for a couple of years now, but I think things are getting heated so it's likely that they aren't paying attention or care about customer issues.

Re: OTA HD Local Stations
That is what i am feeling, unfortunatly because I am a happy customer with the 8100hd and off the air ... I wonder if any dealers are talking to them or getting any response to questions about products...
