8100HD keep turning off

My reciever keep turning off every couple of hours. Been that way since I bought. Can anyone help.

sounds like it is getting to hot.does it have a built in fan?

No it does not have an internal fan? Would this matter if they do not manufacture with fans and if heating was an issue why didnt they install one.

If you have it in a entertainment center that is closed in,take it out,I had quite a few STBs do this to me,if your problem persists you could load your factory file back on and send it in for replacement.

I apologize for the info but it does actually shut down all the way. It just resets itself every couple of hours. Do you think its the bin file?

Yes from what I read,the bin is bad,sorry I do not have one to test,can't give you much more info.

Yes that is correct it just reboots itself. But it seems to be fine for a few hours with all the latest bins.

like storm said might be a glitch in the bin.sit tight and wait for a fix
