Coolsat 8100 Help
Does anyone know if the Coolsat 8100 is currently down on DN? It keeps saying Stand By Downloading. I for one am sick of Coolsat's ridiculous support towards its loyal customers. Does anybody know which recievers will work with Dish 500 aiming at Echostar 110 & 119? I just can't stand Coolsat anymore. Please help me!

Re: Coolsat 8100 Help
Hello. Mine too. I used the latest ECM fix and it just says "Standby Downloading" for several hours. I tried doing a factor reset and no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Coolsat 8100 Help
Hello. Still no luck. I uploaded the latest bin. It says STB will be reset after downloading the new S/W. After uploading, my Coolsat 8100 shuts off, the loader comes on and when I go change the channel, it just says "Standby.....Download" for several hours. I never had problems until a few days ago when I lost power to my house. Everything just shut down and I had my USB still plugged into the receiver. Any help is greatly appriciated. Thank you.

There is another new update. I would suggest getting it and before you install it copy all your settings down. Do a factory reset. Load the clear bin file. Load the newest factory file and then load the newest bin. This should take you back to the begining and then to the newest file. I am watching dn right now.
Hope this helps

Re: Coolsat 8100 Help
Thank you everybody for the help. Sorry for the delay in response. Everything is working OK now. It was just the bin. Still though, Coolsat should try to get better support. They are still very slow compared to other brands of FTA recievers.

Re: Coolsat 8100 Help
Thanks TDuke. I have 2 dishes one pointed to 110 and the other pointed to 119. For some reason, it was not picking up 110. I did everything you instructed and it worked. Thanks again.
