problem loading newest bin
I get an error message saying that the _sw_code.sgn is invalid, I have tried downloading it a few separate times, I have even tried the previous Bin file and got the same message.
should I wipe the software on the box with the clean file first?
I have already auto searched for channels and have them all listed in the EPG, should I not have done that first?
I just read the setup file and it doesn't seem to be working the way it should
any help would be appreciated
thanks

Re: problem loading newest bin
by reseting the factory defaults I have actually got it to recognize the file named _sw_code.sgn but now its telling me that it isn't the right file. Should I have the .zip file on the usb drive as well as the .sgn file?

no I am actually trying to load the Coolsat 8100HD micro PVR Factory File V1441A
and then I am hoping to load the BEV channel file.
but to answer your question more directly I am taking the Coolsat 8100HD micro PVR Factory File V1441A file unziping it and then renaming the unziped file to _sw_code.sgn and then putting it on the usb stick. If I don't do this (renameing the file) the reciever wont even recognize the file at all.
but if I rename it the file it finally gets recognized but I get a message telling me that the file is not the right version.
thanks for the effort

Re: problem loading newest bin
as long as you have a recent bin installed no need to rename file. when you go to system info what file does it say you are using?? have you loaded latest factory file?
