Re: Need help with CS 8100 HD !
You should be able to use the loop out to connect to your tv. I use it to connect a second tv and it works fine. The 8100 is a High Def unit and it's normal use is the DMHI connection since all HIGH DEF TVs have this connection.
Hope this helps

Re: Need help with CS 8100 HD !
I hope it's not a clone, it came from Global wholesalers that's on this site. Thanks for all the info from u guys. Anyone else has any more info please post it, again thanks. There is not alot on this box, never had any trouble getting one to work until this one, not a lot of information on how to set it up and and download to it. Which way is the best and the easy way to download s/w. Use the usb stick, null cable or usb cable. I got Windows XP, have no problems downloading to mine and some others. Hope I can get it going, will check back to see if anyone else has posted any info.

I doubt that it is a clone. I have found the easiest way to download the files is to use the usb stick. It's easy and fast. The null modem cable is the only other way of downloading files that are older than the current file you have installed on it. This is done if you have to use the clear file or re-install the factory file. Take a look in this section at the stickies. Grasshopper has put a great collection of how to use the usb and the null modem cable. Make sure that you follow them exactly as he has written them. The 8100 is a bit tempermental at times but doing what he says works every time.
Here are a few links to his stickies:

How to update using the usb stick http://www.abadss.com/forum/804-cool..****b-stick.html
A great setup help file http://www.abadss.com/forum/804-cool...at-8100hd.html
Hope these help
