First check it one by one your sat.'s by connecting direct to STB from LNB. And let us know.

This is what i would reccomend aswell...a direct lead per lnb/sat to receiver just to check them out...then go from there to hook Everything all together.

Re: Lost satellite's

OK i have done all of the above. And i now have got the Sats alined just like it says to in the {set up for CS8100HD} except 110 8/10 now says 10/11 and instead of one 91.0W Nimiq as #4 there is also a 91.0W Nimiq as #5. And the 91.0 W nimiq comes up on all of the Sats. I can not get like 119 to show as 119 or 82 to show 82. I guess i'm still in deep dodo.

Re: Lost satellite's

if you got your setting right then it sounds like a switch problem use tp 12224 for all sats except 119 use 12239 for tunning. all should show up if you are aimed at them but check your switch and make sure you assign the right ports for each lnb.

After a Factory reset, all channels got messed up. Setup the angles etc. again. Here's the configuration
1. CS8100HD
2. DN 1000+, DiSEqC - 4 ports
a. Port1 - 119
b. Port2 - 110
c. Port3 - 129
d. Port4 - 118.8

Problem # 1
When I select the Dish at
Port 1: 119W,
transponder: 12268H, 20000 Auto,
LNB Power: 13/18V,
LNB type as OCS-DP,
LNB Freq 11250,
Switch Type: DiSEqC
DiSEqC:
1 (Signal Strength = 29%, Signal:Noise ratio : 99%) - CS resolves this as 110W
2 (Signal Strength = 29%, Signal:Noise ratio : 0%)
3 (Signal Strength = alternates between 10 and 99%, Signal:Noise ratio : 0%)
4 (Signal Strength = alternates between 10 and 99%, Signal:Noise ratio : 0%)
Question is why does CS resolve this configuration as 110W?

Problem Statement#2
When I select the Dish at
Port 2: 110W,
transponder: 12224V, 20000 Auto,
LNB Power: 13/18V,
LNB type as OCS-DP,
LNB Freq 11250,
Switch Type: DiSEqC
DiSEqC:
1 (Signal Strength = 67%, Signal:Noise ratio : 99%) - CS resolves this as 110W
2 (Signal Strength = alternates between 67 and 99%, Signal:Noise ratio : 0%)
3 (Signal Strength = alternates between 52 and 98%, Signal:Noise ratio : 0%)
4 (Signal Strength = alternates between 39 and 99%, Signal:Noise ratio : 0%)
Question is why does CS resolve this configuration as 110W only at DiSEqC port 1 and not at 2 where the LNB really is?

Problem # 3:
When things were working, I used the following to get the channels on 118.8. Note I used 119 Ecostar and not 118.8 Anik

Port 4: 119W, (not 118.8)
transponder: default that came up
LNB Power: 13/18V,
LNB type as OCS-DP,
LNB Freq default that came up
Switch Type: DiSEqC
DiSEqC: 4

Question: Why did I have to select 119 instead of 118.8 for the port 4? Also after the rescan this did not work at all. Not even when I select 118 Anik

Hope someone can help!

Re: Lost satellite's

some more data collected...

So really two issues:

1. Can't get the channels on 118.8 (had to trick CS to believe that 119 is connected to DPP44 port 4).

2. Port 1 & 3 of DPP44 seem to lock to 110 and 119 resply. instead of 119 and 129 resply. 110 is actually connected to port 2

So just to make sure I was not on crack, what I did was unplug the 129-1F LNB from port 3 of DPP44, I would have expected no affect on the 657 channels that were scanned, INSTEAD lost all 119 sat channels (channel 180 - ABC family).

Then I connected this cable back, and disconnected the the cable coming from the 119-2D LNB from port 1 of DPP44, normally all 119 sat channels would have been lost rather all 110W channels were lost.

Unless the specs are out of order, I am not sure what is going on.

Another Observation: this is the reason why 119 was not detected with DP34, as I had connected only 2D, 110 and 1F LNBs to ports 1, 2 & 3 of DP34.

Does this experiment tell anything? Should I start another thread maybe?

Looks like this thread may have gone stagnant, no one has responded since a week since the last post before me.

Re: Lost satellite's

Ok, guys, I don't know if this will help or confuse things, but here is my set up and i have all satelites up and working.

I am useing a Disq switch 4x1
Connect port 1 to 82
Connect port 2 to 91
connect port 3 to 110
connect port 4 to 119

from the computer to the receiver using a null modem cable do a clear sat (file in downloads) , then load the latest I think it was 1147a and then the latest bin. at this point, let is do a scan for the dish auto scan it should find your sats at the above ports, then do a auto scan, choose all free and CAS and that should bring in about 1300 channels.

Make sure your cables that come from the dish are connect to the right port.

Good Luck

So, did this help?

Funny thing my CS has started detecting 6 sats. My azimuth screws are kind of lose may have been because of that, but 6 satellites that is not possible.

Blind scan gets me 6 channels, but it scan the same number of channels ~650, same ones as before. The LNBs are still jumbled up as before.

Also with latest bin files, the variable "DISH #" vanished.

Also 1147A followed by the latest bin made no difference
