most recent?
In the cs8100 download section, the most recent file(...026f). Is that what is working now? I used it and not only does it not work, but now my reciever is saying "no signal". Any info?

turned it off for a full minute then back on. Still says no signal. If i go into the menu, my signal strength is 99% I even tried to reload the current bin but that did nothing either.

The new BIN works. You have to do a factory reset, then load the new BIN again. reboot between each. Worked for me. I also noticed some changes in the Antenna settings. You might want to check there also. Specifically the LMB type.

factory reset is what exactly? Does that mean load the original bin, then load this new one? What should my antenna settings be at?

You can do a factory reset using the remote and the on-screen menu after pressing MENU.
