coolsat what a joke!! its been almost a week and still no files released even for there top boxes ..i have backup but that's not the point i gave good money for the 8100 hd and here i have to use a backup cw800..coders must be at daytona beach soaking up the rays.lol..no really whats up with these guys the last ecm cw was back up the same night,,here's some possibility's that i thought of,,either there working on something huge that's gonna put them at number one,or maybe there on strike,and lastly they just gave up..all i can say is coders get it together nag3 be hitting soon id like to watch tv for at least one more week before we go totally black..thank you

This has been going on with coolsat for months. We were just lucky that the boxes even work at all. You need a backup, I keep 4 different receivers and am always up and running. It does no good what so ever th be bashing coolsat, they have been bashed several times and also Im sure they could care less what our opnions are. They have already lost most of their customers, and probably cant afford to pay the coders. The only way I would ever purchase another coolsat, is if they conquered N3. Which you know will never happen.

Hey Guys, just remember the next time you go to purchase a new FTA box. Remember who comes out with the fastest bins, and has the best support...

Many have elected to have two units, from different mfg's. This helps bridge downtime ... if you are unhappy with CS, vote with your wallet.

that 8100 would be great combined with a bud.
you could wake her HD up.there's more up there than whats posted on the sites.just fyi.
coolsats are some of the best made stbs for true fta use.

I see there are a lot of people posting about the lack of a file or a fix. It saddens me to think of this ungratefulness. What do we as testers pay or have invested in this. I would assume not quite as much as the people releasing the files. Keep in mind that this is a hobby. If you need better service it is at your local utility company. Meanwhile I thank the people that are working hard to keep things running. Your skill and intelligence is greatly appreciated.

I have both CS 7000's and the 8100hd and have been very happy with the receivers. The picture and sound is great and I knew that it did not do DN HD when I purchased it!

One thing that I noticed is that almost every receiver has issues and time delays for the fix, matter of fact is there really any receivers working now and with N3?

I just find that complaining is counter productive and over the last 18 months that I have owned the boxes it seems that it never got the files out any faster.

I'd like to hear from you guys with the back up boxes which ones are up and running right now and what are you watching. I'd buy a back up box, no problem, it's a minor investment, but honetly what ones are up more that what we already have, what ones offer the PVR function to the external HDD?

I think I have seen alot of good things on Nfusion and sure, I"d jump for one, but with the new things that are going to happen with N3 is right now the time to jump in?

I'd love to hear your "Positive Responses" and not any of the bashing of CS, we can't fix that right now but it would be intersting to look at an alternative

Coolsat is down and out , so will be many others boxes in the coming weeks. Best bet if you want to stay up and running are boxes that use a card for codes. I wish It wasn't so Having 5 cs8100 hd's.

ever thought of putting up a 10 foot C band dish?
these stbs are GREAT (better than most in fact) for those big dishes.
there's a LOT of cool programming on C band buddy.
lots of HD feeds! all in the clear.
this unit does DVB-S2 right out of the box too.-this means many more HD channels than many of the other HD units.
check around your neighborhood.you can score free BUD's all the time if you offer to remove them for people.

coolsat hasn't been that good for 3rd party support for last couple years really.(decent.but always was better options for that stuff)
coolsat's shine because of their great true fta use.
some of the best for their intended purpose.
worth looking into buddy.
not only that.but the HD channels are much more clear than you will find on bev/dn due their overly compressed formats.
there's a whole sky up there waiting to be pulled in.don't miss out!

Well, the Coolsat 8100hd is up again and I am watching DOD PPV just fine, didn't someone say they went N3? So, I seem to be getting all the PPV So, don't count Coolsat out quite yet
