CW800 Help? Please.

Hi, I got a cw800 for a long time and it works perfect. I got a second cw800 in the mail today. i hook it up and the signal is 100% on both 119 and 110, then using usb i paste database from my other cw800 but dont work. i also put the latest bin 2.26 but dont work also. i got error 020. when i go to menu, the anttena settings i got signal 100% on both 119 and 110 but when i go back to watch tv the signal is 0%. Help please.

agree...checck out link painterguy14 posted...
very important to make sure the 2 stb's are from the same generation of models...if you said you've had one for a long time and just got a new one chances are they are different generations.

p.s. 100% signal is almost impossible to get...how'd you end up doing that? with signal that strong i would personally scan the sats

I would do a factory default & start over

on your display do you have a signal and quality bars on the right hand side...and if you do are the bars different colors or are they both the same pale blue color?

I guess thats the problem that the new cw800 is a new generation, well i just did a factory default 1.03 and right now im looking for the birds again. ok so because this new cw is a new generation then how i am suppose to do it.

Load the latest file onto the unit then press F1 + 000 to enable, set up your ant settings and then do a scan.

Ok, right now im doing it the other way. i set the settings and doing scan and im waiting to finish to put the new bin, thats ok? or i have to do it just like you say, bin first then setting and scan.

either ways cool...channels just wont come in till you load latest bin (and enable patch)

Ok, I did the setting and scan then load the new bin then enable the patch, Everything works good for like 20 second but then it say signal is weak, when i press the blue bottom for info in the display look like it froze on 0% quality and 70% strenght, But if i go to anntena setting i got 90% plus on both 119 and 110. whats the problem?

I turn the stb off from the back and then back on and same thing. it work fine with quality and signal over 90% but in like 20 seconds back to 0% quality and 70% strenght. what is causing this?

Try to turn your receiver off and un plugeg for few minute and pluged back
and turn your receiver on and wait and hope youlbee ok.

ok guys i fix the problem i went to anntena setting and change the diseqc number( 119 LNB1) and (110 LNB2) and now i got signal all the time, Thanks alot. But another help, lol.. i go to system setting and then change the channel no. from normal to SID, But when i do that i got the same channel twice, like two channel 100, two channel 101, ect. how can i fix this?

rescan 119 and when it asks you if you want to delete the current channel list press yes...do the same for 110

I rescan but same problem, same channel twice, What is the right way to scan? 119 and 110.. or How you suppose to scan? Basically how i am suppose to scan so my stb get all channel from 119 and 110 in order with out repeat channel. i have done it two ways. One, i go to easy tune and do it from there and Second, i go to anntena setting and do a blind scan on 119 and then blind scan on 110 then i press back and sid the channel and thats how i get repeat channels. Do i doing something wrong?

you have to do a factory default and this will erase the channels ,then just set up everything and rescan,this will fix issue

blind scan does that to me also...do auto scan (red button i think)
