No USB Disk
Hey guys very good site, thanks for all the info but I have a prob and do not find any thing in here about it. My cw 800 does not recognise any external drive I have tried a , 2 and 8 GB thumbs drives and a 30 GB external drive and keep getting the "No USB Disk". By the way this is something new because I have been using all those drive before and the cw 800 used to recognise them. Thanks for any help.

Re: No USB Disk
It seem like an intermitent prob. I tried the drives again now and it recognizes the drives but it did not before. I did tried the rebooting before with no luck and yes the pc recognizes the drives. I have had the same intermitent prob with 2 diferent cw 800, some times they just dont recognize the drives and some times they do.

Re: No USB Disk
Try using a smaller gig usb stick & don't use a usb extension cord.

Re: No USB Disk
I am glad this topic has been brought up. I would like to say that I have had the same problem for some time now. To load a new bin on my CW800 I have to put a usb stick in 4gb sony and switch off/on the receiver from the back to get it active. Same with my 8 gig usb stick and same with my Wd 320 gig WD external Hd. It happens over and over again. Sometimes the drive is active and then it says USB REMOVE. Anyone else having this happen? It is almost like I can't even record anymore.
