Amazonas 61.0 Question??

if i were in Houston Tx can i hit this bird using a D!sh 500 w/pro LNB? if i need a different dish i can get one. What would the settings be? If there's anymore info i need to hit this bird please respond with ur feedback. it is greatly appriciated, i would like to still use my capwrks 800 for something. thanx again.

You will need a bigger dish at least a 5 feet one and also a linear lnb

You should use a linear lnb. Any case, this bird is for south america. I am in the caribbean and I need a 6 feet dish to catch it.

just a few questions?

- what bird is "Amazonas 2", will this BIN work for "AMZNs2", would i still

Amazona 2 is another satellite and probably with the same providers of South America like Amazona 1 so you can use the same equipment and bin as Amazona 1. It will be launched on September 23, 2009. Due to it is for North America, a smaller dish will be enough for your area.

Remember, Telefonica is the provider and will depend on them to decide if the want to aim its transponder to NA.

thanks for the info about AMaZo2. i found a 60in Sat dish w/hardware on Fleabay for $50 includes s&h. if i get a chance i will order it try it and report back with results. Its time for me to upgrade to IKS and will research and order soon. If any of u have IKS receiver(s), which one do u recommend, i like PVR,but, its not vital in my decision. One more thing, does any Mod/expert/elightened individual know what the status/news on N3 programs for our beloved captivewrk 800 in the near future. thnx again for any feedback.
