119 Horrible Signal DP Plus Sick of my roof

Hello I reciently bought a CW800. I am having a horrible time getting 119 to come in. I have spent many hours on my roof trying to get it tuned in. I have great signal for 110 but 119 jumps from 50% to 0% and is really hard to get it tuned in. Please help me. I am using a DP Pluss with DP500 Dish. I may just jump off of my roof soon.

Re: 119 Horrible Signal DP Plus Sick of my roof

Thanks for the quick reply. The best I can get is 50%. That is almost good enough to watch but while it is locked down tight with no wind it bounces to 0 and back. Still thinking about jumping. I have spent about 6 hours on my roof watching my signal and adjusting ever so slightly.

Re: 119 Horrible Signal DP Plus Sick of my roof

Hey i had the same problem .I used a single lnb to tune in 110 then moved it to 119
and tuned it in after i had spent a whole day working with it .Also on one I put a
diseqc switch in and ran it with two cables off the dish pro lnb.

Maybe this will help ace462000

DUDE! I thought I was the only one who used a DP+. I finally figured out its quirks, for 1, you have to have 2 STB's turned on at all times. (u smart admin's correct me if I'm wrong) It has 3 built in disq switches. you dont need any!!!

skew 121 elevation about 43 for the midwest and south/southwest make sure there is no obstructions. the best investment i made was a signal finder after i set a few the hard way

Re: 119 Horrible Signal DP Plus Sick of my roof

oh, you really need to read the section on switches and lnb's, also remember. always assign 119 to disq #1 and 110 to disq # 2. the 3rd coax on you lnb, all by itself, is for an aditional lnb/dish and is #3. I got this running to another dish and getting bev.

Re: 119 Horrible Signal DP Plus Sick of my roof

I really really appreciate all of you taking the time to help me out. My friend tested my CW800 on his dish and he recieved signals from both 119 and 110 but his signal was weaker than his CW600. His dish has two LNB's and mine has the combined LNB's. Should I invest in the two LNB setup. I already bought the DP+ because I figured one of the LNB's was bad in my old DP head. I am still thinking about jumping off of the roof.

Re: 119 Horrible Signal DP Plus Sick of my roof

Thanks for the tip. I will try that tomorrow. If I go off the roof I want it to be on my own terms. I already dropped my Blackbeyy last week off the roof onto the car onto the pavement. Bummer but I keep trying. I will get it. Thanks again to everyone.
