Troubleshooting Dead box for FTA

To understand what it mean dead box

Fist: if there is no power coming out in the power supply it means that the IC # 5L0360R on most boxes is defective and for the platinum lite the IC # 5L0365R also check for resistance value 470K, diode and any other component.

Second: check the cable from the front display by moving it, if the lcd trey to light up it mean that the one of the IC is defective (T-sop) this IC have to be remove and replace it with a new one, this procedure the box have to be with power.

Note: most of the IC it can not be purchase single for the reason that theses component are to be order by especial orders and you have to have knowledge in electronic also for removing the T-sop you have to have a universal programmer, value for the programmer is about $775.00 and many others electronic equipment.
