Indian Channels on Anik F3

Folks - i just got my FTA and set it up. I was able to scan Anik F3 (118.7W) but someone told me i need to add new transponders to the list.

Question
1. Can you please give me the or point me the link for the new transponders ?

2. Also, i was reading the migration to N3 effective from Jun 18,2009 .. Is this effective for all channels under Anik F3 ?

3. Can i see any Indian channels as of today ?

nothing...all gone black, until there is n3 fix you cant watch any indian or any other channel

what transponders u talking about?

for anik f3 u would need a circular LNB and a bigger dish size 24" or more. bigger the better. point the dish to 118.7

all indian channels are working on kbox k1 plus hero edition, i am watchin them as i type.

indian channels are also workin on b3v on Nfusion . u need a linear LNB point the dish to 82 w and u wd get indian channels

Vineet - my dish is aligned to 110 / 119 / 118.7 , i did verify seeing Anik F3 [Good Quality] on the SV360 premier box.

The dish am using is : Dish Network Dish Pro (it is definitely more than 24")

LNB am using :

A. DP Dual Band LNBF for orbital locations; 118.7°, 119°

B. DP Single LNBF 110°

You can see the LNB am using listed on this site [No #11]

DishNetwork DishPro, Plus, Legacy LNB LNBF Dual Single DSS Standard and Universal

so you are saying,

1. with my setup of SV360 premier + iHub i will not be able to see the Indian channels and i will need kbox k1 plus reciever OR b3v bird locked on nfusion box with the dish pointed to 82W ?

i can watch 3 channels as of now. 716/718/788

Does anyone know which channel/sat CNBC-Asia is on ? could not find on lyngsat

u can get working one by scaning #1 tp 11728 on kbox with k-hub the following indian channel

576 Zsports
716 star plus
718 star1
745 geo
790 Zee cinema
793 set max
795 sun tv
799 gemni
808 b4u
809 just punjabi
902 geo tv
903 agg tv

Update - all of these Indian (Hindi) channels are up on SonicView [with some freezing]

do you mean using IHub?, I dont have Ihub will i still get the channels?

I think only 2 or 3 channels are still working without a ihub
two of the three are sahara one and B4U, but you have to point your dish to 118.7 or 148. I could be wrong, but i heard this from other family friends. (they were using CNX nano, and trio) so it should work for other models too

nahh all gone to n3 the only way to watch it iks. through internet. there is lots of information about receiver, start reading and choose what is better out there......good luck

Yes, am using the iHub. You will need the codes via IKS to watch these channels, so without an iHub the answer is No

whats the transponder for zeetv, sahara ?

HI Abhijit,

I am getting sony,b4movies,zee but not SETMAX & Zee cinema with SV 360 Elite + IHUB and no south Indian telugu channels yet.

checked the signal quality on TP 12610 ,its says zero ,I am getting good signal quality on 11750 like 84% .I have got a DishPro Twin LNB with Super dish .

let me know how do I get the SETMAX ?
