The LNB type needs to be set to OCS-DP.

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
I have a Superdish with the 118.7W repoint kit just like yours feeding a DiSEqC switch that feeds an SV4000. Changing the LNB setting to Single/Standard causes me to lose some of the channels you are having trouble with. If you look at the LNBs on the dish, the logos are DishPro, so OCS-DP is the correct choice.
Are the missing channels a new problem or have they always been missing?
Ch 787 is from Tp20 Freq 12002 L(H) and Ch 787, 788,789, 791, and 797 are from Tp22 Freq 12033L(H). Try scanning the specific Tps.

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
DishCharlie,
Thanks for your reply. This problem has been just recently... I tried to scan them on specific Tps and it says "failed". I had:
12002 20000 H 7/8
12033 20000 H 7/8
Please advise what else can be done...

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
That's progress. With my SV4000 a "failed" scan results from some parameter being inadequate despite signal lock from a Tp. When that happens I switch over to my more sensitive CS6100 and can get a good scan.
Since you were getting the channels before, I suspect wind or something has nudged your dish slightly out of alignment. Do you know how to tweak your dish, or can you borrow another brand receiver?

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
Thanks for your reply...I do not know how to tweak the dish..I might have to call in a professional guy to do this for me...I do not have access to another receiver...Is there any other way to do this?

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
To determine which direction a dish needs to be tweaked, you need safe physical access to the dish reflector and someone within earshot watching signal strength indicators on TV. Is that possible?

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
I dont think I can get a dish reflector..I can get someone to check the signal, but not sure which direction to tweak it....Also I get Ch 790...Will I still be needing to tweak the dish?

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
Another possible way to maximize signal for scanning is to scan directly at the antenna, bypassing the normal losses from the cable and switch. Once the receiver scans a channel into it's memory, it will allow the channel to be received at the normal location by the TV even if the signal is sub-par.
Normal housekeeping will also help keep signal losses to a minimum. Clean, dry, tight cable connections, clean dish LNB/reflector and proper grounding of dish/switch. Any connection changes must done with the receiver switch off to prevent damages to sensitive electronic components.

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
Ch790 is from Tp27 Freq 121111R(V). Even if from the same sat, different Tps have different strengths and many times it is necessary to aim the dish favoring the weaker Tps by slight deviations to the aim and skew. The weather, time of day and even humidity/air density can cause losses of certain Tps. As previoiusly stated even different brand receivers can respond differently to low signal strengths.
"Tweaking" is by slightly altering the aim of the dish reflector from the backside with a finger. Put your finger at the top of the dish edge and pull back slightly while your partner watches the signal strength on TV. Repeat at the bottom, left and right sides while your partner shouts to you the results.
If you do decide to bring in paid help, make sure you get your $ worth by learning as you watch, then next time you can do it yourself.

Disconnect the receiver from the present location and move it to where the switch is. Disconnect the cable going to Input3 of the DP34 and connect it directly to the receiver. If the system was wired by a professional, Input3 is for 118.7W. If there is a cable connection closer to the actual dish, that would be even better.
Try scanning the missing Tps later tonight, during times of least manmade and natural interference.

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
I checked the cabling and it looked fine...I did a blind scan again and it added one additional channel...Still missing channels 787 through 790 and 800 through 810....I have 110/118.7 and 119...I have Viewsat Ultra V2....On my receiver it shows Anik F3 118 and not 118.7...Would that be an issue?
Below are my settings:
Satellite: Anik F3 118 W
LNB Power: On
LNB Type: OCS-DP
LNB Freq: 10750
22 Khz: On
Tp Freq: 11715
DisEqC 1.0: Port 3
Motor: Off
Legacy SW: None
Satellite: Echostar 10,11 110W
LNB Power: On
LNB Type: OCS-DP
LNB Freq: 11250
22 Khz: On
Tp Freq: 12224
DisEqC 1.0: Port 2
Motor: Off
Legacy SW: None
Satellite: Echostar 7 118W
LNB Power: On
LNB Type: OCS-DP
LNB Freq: 11250
22 Khz: On
Tp Freq: 12224
DisEqC 1.0: Port 1
Motor: Off
Legacy SW: None
Can someone see if my settings are right?
Thanks in advance for your help...

Re: Missing lot of Indian channels-Help please!!
so what was the resolution to this problem? Coolsat8000HD 118.8 and SonicView8000 61.5 seem to be having the same issue. CS was working before.
