thats the dish and LNB. Point it at 97w Galaxy 25
any FTA receiver will work if this is all you intend to use it for.

I have my 33" dis aimed at 97w and my cool sat 6100 works fine

Thanks. I had just order my Captiveworks 800S and a Fortec Star 31" satellite disk. should receive it sometime next week to see how it works. Thanks again.

FTA Vietnamese Channels VTV4, VBS and IB Live are broadcast from Galaxy19 97W. If you are in NE or NW USA and want dependable VTV4, a 33" dish may be marginal. Go to DishPointer.com for aiming information.

DishCharlie, what type of lnb should I use to aim at 97W or 110 or 119W.
the lnb that came with Fortec dish (little tinning one) will it works? Thanks

If you did not specify otherwise, a reputable dealer would include a linear LNBF with the Fortec which will work for 97W. The small size you describe sounds right. The 110W and 119W satellites require circular LNBFs.

Depending on how you assemble and tighten the mounting bolts on the imported dish, the elevation markings can be way off, so don't depend on them.

The eBy item header is misleading. If you read the item description closely, the LNBF is for 119W and 118.7W, both of which transmit circular signals. A circular LNBF will not pickup 97W. The only circular-linear combination LNBF that I can recall is the Invacom.

Just to clarify this 118/119 does work, it pickup Tviet channel at 118.7, gotta hurry it goes n3 soon( sat 118 is circular but broadcast at linear freq. therefor invacom lnb do not work hense it is linear and circular, to pickup 118 sat u need special lnb not linear nor circular.) thieuhiep if you good at multi-lnb u can pickup tviet on 118 and vtv4,vbs,saigontv on 97w(ibelive is no longer fta) if not irecommed u to get DTV worldirect 36" dish on ly $50, it came w/ a linear very strong to pick up 97W and also came/w one circular lnb u can use it to pickup 110,119,129 and so on. u can use this lnb with a piece of soft metal for neck strap and mount on the outside of the lnb bracket (with 97 lb in the middle) pickup 110~100Q, and your 33" u got put that special lnb on and pickup 118/119 altogether, 2 dish 4 sat, signal all strong (weatherproof) and all VN channel are broadcast at relatively weak tps, happy testing bro!
