All channels have an S by them, and do not work
Sorry if this is entry level, but I feel I am somewhat getting the grasp, but am now banging my head against the wall. I bought a dish 500 with dual lnb for my duo. Now I get signal on 119 w, and when I run channel search, then go to channel manager. All of the channels have an "S" by them and do not work. A couple that don't have an s are just lame channels. What do I need to do? Thank you, sorry for the dumb question.

What is the new file? And how do you load it? S/W upgrade? S/W + all data? Boot loader? Thanks again!

Just now, I did. I loaded DT_factory_5.13.upb (To boot loader) and DTP_2.42.upb (To boot loader). What should I do next and where?

OK, how do you do an rar file? I hit ok, and nothing happens. Do I have to convert it first? And I don't understand sw vs. boot loader. What files do I send to each? Sorry you guys, hate to be a pain.

rar file is just like a zip file just a different form of compression
you would need winrar to extract the file that you need to load

OK, I figured out the rar thing. I am on echo7 119w, and everything is still scrambled. I keep getting a dish channel wanting me to come clean and pay up. Could I be on the wrong satelite? I am getting Q95 and S95, on 119w.

just put on channel 200 cnn and let it sit and roll the keys
