I bought this thing, but I'm unable to get it setup. I'm in Calgary. When I search my channels nothing comes up. I tried many different satellite options. I think my channels should come on Echo 7. Any help will be appreciated.

ok what do you have for hardware? dish/lnb/switch etc.

and has the dish been installed? or did you just put it up?

Glad you choose one of the easiest receivers to hook up and maintain. what signal are you trying to hit and have you programmed the box yet ?

Wow, thanks for quick resposes. Sorry if I put it in the wrong spot, a total newbie you know. I have satellite installed at my place, and I used T.E.S Sat before that receiver still works fine. After reading nice reviews on Arboristman's post, I wanted to give this hassle-free thing a try.

I have a couple of dish network dishes and a couple of Star***? dishes and that's all I know. I just put the reciever up and try to search for channels, but it comes with no result (where the other reciver picks up all). I think this has some tricky setting in it, I can't really figure which network should I search my channels in, or other yes/no options etc. I could download and install an update (told by your site).

WHAT WAS THE T.E.S. SAT RECEIVING ? BEV OR DISHNET ? AND HAS IT EVER BEEN PROGRAMMED BEFORE ?

ok,well cool.we can find uses for all your dishes,so your going to have well over 1,000 channels hen we are all done.
ok first off,lets start with your dn dishes.see the pics here and find out what you have for lnbs on it/them.

dn's main birds are echo7(119w) and echo 8.10(110w)
