report your pvr results here.
how easy it is to setup and use.your likes and dislikes about recording and any limitations features/missing features of everything having to do with the personal video recording of the mini please.
added note for this one, remember this one is limited to basic pvr functions.for further advanced options you would need the duo.

Re: report your pvr results here
Sounds like a really nifty feature! What a cool bonus.
I will download the new uno file tonight after I get home, play with it, and report back my findings and impressions.

Re: report your pvr results here
Cheers,
Successfully connected external Seagate 10GB HD, formatted FAT32 to my MINI (would have liked to try a larger drive, but didn't have one on hand ).
Recorded and played back a 2 hr movie.
Couldn't be any easier.
Haven't had a chance to experiment with timer...
As I am having issues with populating EPG on my MINI (see my other post)
When I get that resolved, can't wait to try that feature.

Re: report your pvr results here
Hi all,
The PVR function is great. I've recorded 26 minutes and the file is 300 MB - COOL.
The problem here is how to play the recorded video?
Any info about playing the recorded video will be greatly appreciated

When viewing a station, just press play on the remote, and a screen will pop up with the recent recordings on the your recording medium.
Or you can play it back on your computer with the proper codec.

Re: report your pvr results here
Cheers,
Recorded three movies:
2 by hitting record button while viewing actual program
1 by hitting record button in EPG mode
I had problem with box "freezing" twice yesterday.
When box just "froze" then got scrambled message.
Had to reboot one time...
Each movie took about 1.5GB on external HD
Question...
I'm a little unclear about the button functionality while in EPG mode.
What does the "green" circle signify?
Thanx

Re: report your pvr results here
Cheers,
Timer functionality needs a little work..
Would be nice if you there was a "scroll" for channel & time selection.
As it is now you have to "type in" the channel number & time.
But this function is being tested as I write this...

Re: report your pvr results here
Pros: I love the the the fact that it has PVR feature. PVR fuction is great and easy to use! Recorded a few 2 hr movies and was able to play them back.
Cons: When recording over 3 hrs., experienced freezing and the picture will not come back. Have to reboot the system. It seems to have a recording length limitation of about 3 hours on my system. When using the fast forward and rewind feature, the picture seems to freeze or moves at 2x speed. When trying to record after playing a recorded movie, the sytem does not read my usb hdd. I have to disconnect the usb and reconnect it to recognize it again.
I am using a 40 gb hdd with 32gb formatted in fat32.

Re: report your pvr results here
I have a 500gb hooked up and I cannot get past the freezing? Is this just a trouble spot for now. It would seem if you could record and playback on a 10gb,a 500 gb would also work. Does anyone have a fix for the dreaded recording freeze?
Thanks

Re: report your pvr results here
PVR will record for me. CNX has solved the black / white issues with a coax output. Now the colors are just a little off if using the coax output while recording, but hardly noticeable. The component output is still unaffected by recording, works great.
I have tried with the same results on a sandisk cruzer usb drive as well as a small 10GB external hard drive. I can also add in a 40GB FAT32 Partition on a 500GB hard drive that will work with this.

Re: report your pvr results here
records to a flash drive no problem, haven't got it to recognize a 110 gig external hd yet.
