software update list is grey and un responsive PLEASE HELP

software update list in system menu is grey and i cant select it. no idea what to do. please help

I have tried re formatting the usb stick to fat 32 , ive tried turning it off in the back with the stick plugged in , ive tried it with the stick out then putting it in while its off. i tried sticking it in while its on, i tried pulling the plug out of the wall and ive tried lightly tapping on the top of the receiver and talking nice to it . none of this has done anything.

Do you think its the file?

yes it is unzipped, unzipped and extracted mean the same thing right?.

what does the file end with your using ? .all or .bin ?

.all the file is vspro-080628a-II.all

You have two usb ports on the vs pro, try using the other. One is in the front and one is in the back. It all depends on what one is active in your menu.

Have you ever loaded the receiver with this USB before ? Try turning the back off ( black switch on rear) for a minute or so and then try loading it.

i havnt actually loaded a file before myself but it has been before by someone else.
I tried turning it off for a min or two and it does the same thing.

did you wait for the boot to finish or you just pulled the usb stick out.
