VS Pro Everything Locked Up!

Have been running the vs pro for several months with minor problems after getting up and running. Just usual stuff. All of the sudden, about 30 minutes ago, the picture locked up as if it got zapped, tried to load new bin and the only screen that comes up is the DVB screen when you first turn it on. It won't re-boot, it won't shut off or on from the front switch, it won't bring up the menu, it basically won't do anything. I think it just gave up. Anyone know what the warranty on this thing is? Or other suggestions???

Thanks,

Theresa

Re: VS Pro Everything Locked Up!

Same thing happened to me. Try Disconnecting from satellite feed and then reboot. The box should come back up but it seems to lock up when connected to satellite. Waiting on new Bin. I hope it will fix this bug. Let me know if it works...

Re: VS Pro Everything Locked Up!

Hi,
This is the first time I've posted anything except once I was told I was in the wrong place and please don't go back there for that. So let's see if I get yelled at again. Anyway I had the same problem with my VS pro and I was going batty trying to figure out what I did or happened. I was sort of happy to see that someone else had the same problem. So I just wanted to say THANKS because suggestion of removing the antenna feed worked.

Thank You,
Bob

Re: VS Pro Everything Locked Up!

My pro is frozen too. I took the cable off of it. Let's hope a new fix will solve this problem.

Re: VS Pro Everything Locked Up!

credit for this information goes to wowszer

If you just switched to DN, whatever they're doing freezes it, but do this if you have B3V. Power off with back switch, disconnect cable, power back up, switch to a B3V channel, power down, reconnect, power back up.This might give you bev channels
P.S. just tried it and bev is working if you try this

If you disconect the satalite cable then you can reboot without the freeze. What ever DN is doing it seems that it freezes all the channels.

Removed cable from LNB Connection and powered up OK, can access menu's with no problem
awaiting fix, plugged cable back in and box again locked up. My suggestion is to leave box unplugged until fix comes out, Load new fix, Power down, and Plug LNB Cable back in ...

at least when the fix comes out you can load the new bins

Wow, that worked for me too. Mine was locked and even the power button didn't work on the unit or the remote. Only the back switch. I had about given up on it. Thanks so much!
