CrCi ????? What is this - ABA DSS

When I was loading a new bin my VSPro stopped so I pulled the USB thumb Drive. When I rebootted I got this display "CrCI" and nothing else happens!!

I was loading the 080731.all in an attempt to get at least Bev tonight.

Is my unit dead? Is there a way to reload factory and start all over. I can't get it to boot and get over this with or without the Thumb drive in. And yes I did disconnect my SAT from the rec'r.

Please help.......

Did you re try to load it without removing the stick until the picture comes in?

Yes I did, It still will not get past the CrCi. It just stops and the TV gets no signal.

Try turninig off the back switch for about 2 min, and then turn it on and try loading the bin again. Question are you able to access the menu.

Just reload over it with an older bin to get the oooo back then on she will come back and download and re-enter the newest file. Everything is off currently anyway the file downloaded must have come over corrupted the first time it happens sometimes!

I've tried all of this. With a new File or old the unit will not boot past this error. If I can't get a signal to the TV then I surely can't access the menu. I've rebooted from the back 20 times, un plugged, disconnected the LNB.

When I power it up (Full Power from the wall and switch I Get:

"Boot" (as normal) then it displays "CrCI" and just sits there.....for an hour. No signal (display) Makes it to the tv.

Try to download the latest loader and use your computer and the null cable to load the file instead of using the usb.

Yes, that will bring your box back alive if you try to use null cble and use your computer. But still you won't be able to watch the channels.

back up and running (waiting for fix). I have the box up and running. Used the Loader and Null cable and got the Factory Firmware from ViewSat. I disconnected my LNB for safety and recommend this if anyone else has this error. Once everything is up as far as GUI and Firmware, power off, reconnect and BAMM...all is well.

had the same prob here , used the serial cable for both the latest factory file and the latest bin. the bin loaded very slow but now all is testing fine. had a prob once before with a corrupted file on a pansat 2500, it turned to junk and had to j-tag. just let the pro take its time. all is testing fine here

get the serial cable at any pc supply store or radio shack for $15 but not sure if you can bring the pro to life without one

I used the cable that came with my VSpro and i bought null modem adapter. But I can't get the 104 file to load.

should i be using the loader2 program or the vspro loader? I've tried both multuple times and so far no luck.

with loader 2. my vspro is off. I open the latest 104 file. hit pc->STB. and wait for the zmodem window to come up. Once it shows up, I connect the null modem serial cable to the serial port. and then turn on the vspro from the back switch. Boot .. then crc1 still. I let it set for at least 5 mins... Still nothing.

with the vs pro loader. i choose com5. hit set. Then i push connect. connects greys out and other options appear. I upload to STB and choose my file. BTW my vspro is off! once the reset your STB appears. I turn on my vspro. boot crc1. nothing.

BTW i did use the device manager to find what port my usb to serial adapter. It is com5. I've tried combo I can think of. I even replaced te factory cable with another serial cable I had. still nothing...

How long does it take to load the 104 file with a serial cable 30 secs? 5 mins? It is stuck on the reset stb window. if I hit esc, there are two new options. try to connect with monitor and force mode. Do I need to use those at all. It seems everyone else once use the techniques above. They have no further issues. And they are up and running again.

My luck, is that I'm so far the sole person that it is still bricked...
