VS Pro Question - Help

I have used a Viewsat Ultru for over a year now. I received a .pgm file when I need to update and it is very simple to do a software update via ubs.

I just received a brand new Viewsat VS PRO. Can I use this same .pgm file to load on the VS PRO? I try to do it via UBS front and click on the Update Software list and the VS PRO does not recognize the file? The VS PRO recognizes the USB Stick as a FAT 32 external and I only have just that one file on the stick?

So can I use this same file that I use for my Viewsat Ultra on my VS PRO and if so, how do I load it in the VS PRO via USB?

NO!!! use only the files for the pro...

Every FTA receiver has its one files. Ultra uses ultra files. so in your case you would only want to be using viewsat pro. Your viewsat wont recgonize the ultra file to be uploaded to the receiver because its not an ultra. That would be like opening a text document with windows media player...it just wont work!

Got it, I understand. I guess I got to find a place to get the pro files from now.

you'll want to upgrade to vip in order to download from the server, its worth every penny
