coolsat 6100 - ABA DSS

Does anyone know what is wrong with the coolsat 6100. I loaded the latest ben and i get nothing. Is there a new program or something i need?

are you trying to get true fta?.,.,that's all you can get on that unit since N3.,.,DN and Bev are black.

There's been "something wrong" with CoolSat6100 for a long time.
Even before the switch from N2 to N3.

Hold your breath to see if & when it might ever work again.
It works great for true FTA birds.

well you can get the dish network preview channel with the 6 different stations on it better than nothing on the 6100 so smile

The answer with coolsat and another fta that no more hope will get a new bins you cantoss your RX to the dumster for good

hey.so how long do we get bake to new bine file?.i got coolsat 7000 never bean wacth tv.so how about the my money paid for member shift.that's for what.that's for nothing?.

There is hope.
You can get DN with IKS currently.
You will need a modem...an iHub...and another receiver that is currently being supported.
Unfortunately, your CoolSat is not one of the currently supported units.
It will however work great if you just turn your dish to another bird that is not scrambled.

im asking i live in sacramento ca so any kind of help would be very appreciated i have the dish network satellite and im beig told my reciever wont work ever ... i have a coolsat 6100 private and i'm tryna get a least a couple of channels .. im not a a hobbiest nor do i know how to do this was thinking maybe you could talk me through in just learnning terms this has become very interesting and challanging to me . i dont take you cant do it for a answer I'm a single parent I'm very determand and i have lots of patients but little money but I'm just looking to watch a couple of new channels with out the cable company scwering me for it.. can you help me you seem very educated when it comes to the coolsat 6100 ...

That receiver will work with true fta sats, however one of the best fta sat 123W just closed down. There are other sats out there but are mostly international channels. You would need a minimum of a 30 inch dish and a linear lnb, you most likely have a circular lnb. Take a look in the true fta section for some more info.

Well, if have a dish pointed to 110 & 119 you can do a factory database reset & set the time zone & language, then let the autosetup do the rest.
You will get Home Channel #100 (you will see 9 thumbnail screens with one audio)
NASA # 213
ION # 882 (will show a decent movie at prime time)
Angel #262 or 266
Music #467

Some rumors indicate the possibility for coolsat support again...3rd party support, after we get the N3 solution. Never say never!
