Need help my coolsat 6100 reciever has a password ? - ABA DSS

Okay I really need help if anyone can help me . my coolsat6100 has a password . because my stupid daughters dad got mad and put one on there he wanted me to give him 600 dollar for it that sucks im not going to do that at all i take care of his four kids on my own no help so i would like if anyone can help me get the password off and help me get the satellite up and going it use to be on in the living room but i moved it to my room and now its not working and there's a code on the reciever box ..

desprately needing help my kids drive me crazy i just wanna watch my movies in peace ..

there is no fix for any reciever that needs a stand alone file as of yet.im not sure if this will help but the master code for cs password was 0103 for my 7000.

Snake got you covered here. All coolsat models use 0103 as master code...

Thanks but I figured that out hours ago !!! But now can you help me to get it up and running the only channel that's working is the dish tv channel? Help I need my space and place to myself Pleaseeeee !!! Thanks

Hi jaminenewyork1, welcome to ABA! First of all, how long ago were you watching movies on that receiver?? Because like Snakebite said, it is not working at this time because there are no new files to make it work. He gave you the password that is generic for the CoolSat, unless the code was changed, if that's the case, then only the one that changed knows it. I'm not sure about that model and if it can be reset back to the original password. The only way your CS will work is with true FTA. Give us some more information about your settings and maybe we can figure this out for you....but when was the last time you watched anything with this receiver?? Thanks and take care....that's admirable that you are caring for the childern on your own, you must love them alot. Hang in there and let us know how you are doing.

you figured that hours ago but you didnt read the post ,this reciever is only good for true FTA thats it ,there is no stand alone file due to n3.

The 0103 password will over ride any other password...

Okay so the last time I used it was maybe back in feb or march maybe that long or mayberry even shorter ..and what setting do you need and I'll give it to you...

It means that none of the premium chanels or ppv work!

it means you need a bigger dish and different lnb to pick up true fta.these are sats in the sky that are free to people to pick up,there is alot of different sats out there to view channels but only a certain amount on any one sat .there is alot of international stuff on them .you almost need a motor to really make it worth while .these sats dont go down and all that is needed is the factory file that came in the reciever right from factory.check out lngsat .com and check out a few of the sats and see if its for you.

All channels were Scrambled/moved/re-encrytpted back in june... you can only get 1 channel on a couple differnt sats with that receiver...(and they are not what you want to watch, NASA & ION "ion is mostly infomercials & paid programming")

You may want to look into a "internet-fed", "I-HUB" receiver.....Like the one advertised at the bottom of this thread.....

<<<<< just an example, the choice is yours on which make/model you purchase....(internet required !!!)

i have no idea what im loolking for on that site you gave me snake ? so you guys are saying i gave him money for this box and the satellite for nothing its never going to work .. i dont want to buy any more boxes or dishes for that matter Ive already spent almost 600 dollar on the equipment that i have now ( my kids dad suck he probly knew it wasnt working and took my money ) .. i dont need 8 million channels a couple movie channels will do fine can anyone help me with at least that for now . and when i'm able to spend more money on bigger things then i'll go shopping but boy we all know times are hard cant be spending money on a satellites and recievers i just want to use the one i have ...Can you help me with that ?

you will not have any movie channels or any channels with the receiver you have now.

welll **** that suck so if i buy a new reciever box i can get the fta system back going? or do i have to buy a new reciever box and dish ?

With the "new" internet systems you need to buy the receiver,hub,internet router,internet subsrciption,etc. (your dish "should" be fine if you were using it prior to N3) files need to be updated as needed.... (alot of time and effort to keep them running...it is not a plug & play kind of deal...it's a full time hobbie)

Not to steer you away from the FTA/Satellite hobbie by all means....but if you are looking for a 1 time install and watch tv for good without further changes and updates.... a Cable/DishNetwork/DirecTv "Subsrciption" may be your best interest..... just sayin' ...

okay well i dont mind messing with it every now and then im open for thAT BUT AS FAR AS GETTING internet service no thanks . i have sprint air card that i pay 150 for everymonth and i dont want to pay for dish/direct or any tv service i already have cable which is killing me softly .. any other suggestions ?
