Grasshopper I just got my 6100 today, Can i load this reciever useing the cable that cam with it and if so how. I don't care nothing about the usb port, I don't have anything extra that came with unit to do anything usb. Please help dummie's, Thanks

Hi there I just bought a CS 6100 and I need to know what I need to do to set it up to pick up channels for DN? I have a DN dish with a fat head LNB that picks up 110 & 119. But when I did the setup it finds the 110 & 119 but I cant see all the chanels it looks like it is only letting me view one of the sat only. Is there something or a setting that I need to change?

I have a coolsat5000 and use the proloader 2.4 to get the files on my reciever but I have recently gotten a cs6100 and obviouly I am doing something wrong .... I download the latest bin ( v129) and when I use the proloader to get it onto the reciever it wont work because it isnt a .stb file.. I know Im doing something wrong but dont know what it is yet I cant wait to get it figured out . I do not know what usb memory is either.. I know I seem crazy to you but Im a woman what do ya expect..lol but I could use some help.! TY

Hi, I am using a Coolsat 6100. I am unable to get local channels. I have selected State and city but nothing shows up on channel list. Also, do I need to load bin 118? current bin is 134.

This is all great stuff...but I can not open any of the zip files that contain the .ird file to be installed on my coolsat 6100. Everyone puts out these rows of letters and numbers that I have no clue how to install. All I know is to find the darn .ird file and load it into the coolsat. Can you help me out?

This is what you see when you first turn it ON or When you do Factory Reset, select the Language and Local time



1 - How To Flash Your Receiver with USB Memory Stick:

Download, Unzip the latest Firmware from NORW and save it on your USB Memory. Insert it into the receiver, hit Red Button on the Remote Control, wait until it finishes and reboots itself to Standby Mode or four Dashes (----). Now, go ahead and turn it on again.



2 - Dish Setting / Receiver Setup:

Do Factory Reset right after you Flashed your receiver, even though it has nothing in your receiver. Hit Menu===> Installation===> System Recovery===> System Restore To Factory Default===> hit OK.

Select the Language, local time, hit Auto Detect. It’ll scan, detect and save everything for you.



• Renumbering Local Channels: Menu Option Renumbering Local Ch. Pick your State & the Cit
• How to Populate EPG: Go to channel 239 and hit the EPG button on your remote. You should see the Echo EPG item with the Blue circle next to it. Go ahead and hit the blue button on your remote and the Extended EPG popup should stay on the screen while the EPG is being populated. Warning, if it pops up and goes away immediately… then you screwed something up. If it stays and populates out to 9 days, Congratulations!

My dear grasshopper, you are very patient. Maybe you can help me with my problem , oh Wise One! I have followed your instuction on setting up the new bin files (which was giving me trouble after the initial set up). My question now is this: I still do not get any local channels. I have selected my State and nearby city in the option menu. Afterwhich I have also extened the EPG. What do you suggest?

Hey, just wanted to let you know that after the new bin file came out I was able to pick up the local stations. I also ended up with alot more channels this time around.
